The brief
Our clients came to us with a tired 2-bedroom bungalow they had recently acquired — bought with one clear intention from the start: to remodel and extend it into the high-spec family home they really wanted. Rather than buying something already finished, they wanted to reimagine the property from the ground up and create a home built around how they actually wanted to live.
The vision was ambitious from day one: a 4-bedroom family home with three en-suites, a grand entrance hall, an open-plan heart-of-the-home space and the kind of finish you’d expect from a brand-new build. Designed by Ladbury Architectural Design and delivered end-to-end by Parker Grears, this project has been a complete transformation from start to finish — and we’re proud to finally share the results.
What we delivered
A genuinely end-to-end project. Parker Grears project-managed every stage:
- Full bungalow remodel and extension — re-planned and re-built around how the family wanted to live
- 4-bedroom family home — with the master suite designed as the property’s calm retreat
- 3 luxury en-suites — bespoke vanities, contemporary fittings and a high-end finish throughout
- Large open-plan kitchen / dining / living space — the new heart of the home, opening to the garden
- Grand hallway entrance with feature apex glazing — the show-stopper of the property
- Bespoke oak staircase — the centrepiece of the entrance hall
- Bifold doors with integral blinds — the kitchen opens fully onto the patio and garden
- Underfloor heating throughout — invisible warmth, even floor-to-floor
- Log burner feature — focal point in the formal living room
- Utility room with dog wash station — a practical, well-thought-through detail the family asked for
- New driveway and front garden alterations — kerb appeal completely lifted
- Garden walls, fencing and new patio areas — re-landscaped to match the new spec
